In the morning, I had a nice breakfast down by the lake before packing up and heading off. It was sunny and warming up fast, but my tent was soaked again, from the rain sprinkles last night and condensation inside. So day 2 of packing up a wet tent, yuck.
The first part of the day was a climb up to Numa Pass. It was so pretty, lots of wild flowers and bees humming in them. The view back to Floe lake on the way up was also stunning. I was glad when it flattened out a bit at the top and I had my first snow crossing right before the pass.

The descent off the pass looked scary, like the tail just dropped off the mountain, but it was fine in the end.

The descent was long, something like 800m but over 7-8km. There were views of some really tall waterfalls along the way and then it was into Numa campsite where I stopped for lunch.

I wasn’t that hungry since my tummy was a bit upset, but I forced myself to eat and it went down. After a nice long rest, I was ready to tackle my 700m climb up to Tumbling Pass. It was hot at first and I took it very slow but steady. As I neared the top, storm clouds started to develop. It wasn’t supposed to rain today, and I had been hoping to dry out my tent this evening. But I was glad that it was a bit cooler for the end of the climb and even cold once I was at the pass. There were views of a glacier and it’s moraine at the pass.

Then it was downhill again all the way into camp. The rain held off right until I got to camp so no luck in drying out any of my stuff. The tent is filthy after just a few nights since the tent pads are dirt ones and it gets all over the tent when I stuff it into its bag. Oh well, it’s keeping me nice and dry at least.
