My fellow campers set out before I did, the hikers at least were planning to go further than me so I didn’t rush.

I set off down to Pinto lake and passed some campers there.

Then it was down a path next to the Cline river until Cataract creek, which I followed for the rest of the day gradually up a valley. It was mostly in forest but there were occasional views of the mountains around.

Overall, this was probably my least enjoyable day on trail so far. The trail was full of blowdowns and they really stop your momentum and are tiring to step and climb over. Coupled with the lack of views and the constant wet feet from all the stream and creek crossings.
However, my campsite at Cataract Tributary is a 10 out of 10, best so far and I have it all to myself. First night alone on trail.
