SIA Day 32: the long ride home

I was up around 7 am and packed my stuff before heading to the Café des Artistes. I ordered a latte and a breakfast that was an egg, ham, spinach with some sourdough toast, as well a chocolatine. I had forgotten how good sourdough and pastries can be, yum. After breakfast, I headed over to the bus stop and then it was over 13 hours of sitting on a bus with a few opportunities for leg stretching, although not so many on the second half of the journey. We got into Montreal after 11 pm and I decided to walk home through the Old Port since it felt strange not to have walked at all that day. When I got in, I found some fresh blueberries in the fridge and gobbled some down on the spot, my first local berries of the summer, thank you Gill! I went to bed but kept on waking up and not being able to figure out where I was at all since I couldn’t fit what I was seeing with being in a tent or shelter. It would eventually dawn on me that I was home and I’d drift back off…
